The 12th Annual Mountains, Music & Motorcycles event in Mountain View promises to be as big as ever, with four days of activities scheduled Aug. 18-21.
Motorcycle riders are encouraged to ride in that Thursday in time for Motorcycle Night at Stone Drive-In Theater, just off Highway 87 northwest of the court square.
Friday will be free for riders to enjoy the twists and turns of area highways. There will also be a Walk About Scavenger Hunt from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and at 8 p.m. the Arkansas Brothers group will present a blues concert on the court square.
Highway_14_Motorcycle_Marcella_9772Following the concert, streets around the court square will be reserved for motorcycle parking on Saturday.
The opening ceremony Saturday will be at 10 a.m. with biker games starting at 10:30 followed by a stunt show by the Real Encounter Team.

Saturday’s events include biker games, bike show, benefit poker run, car show and stunt shows. This year, a pepper eating contest has been added to the schedule at 2 p.m. Additional stunt shows by the Real Encounter Team are set for 3:30 and 7 p.m. Music by Highway 9 South will begin at 5 p.m., and at 8 there will be a dance on the square featuring The Lockhouse Orchestra.
The bike show, which will be held at the Centennial Bank front parking lot off Main Street, will have classes for Vintage, Street Rod, Touring and Dressers, Manufactured Custom, Custom Modified, Trike and Sidecars, Rats. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the show runs until 1 p.m.
Poker Run registration starts at 8 a.m. and the last bike must be in by 4 p.m. The event benefits the Royal Family Kids Camp.
The fifth annual car show will take place Saturday as well, from 8 a.m. to noon on the Centennial Bank parking lot.
On Sunday, bikers are invited to breakfast and Blessing of the Bikes at the City Park amphitheater, followed by a Biker Church Service at 9:30 a.m.
Food and merchandise vendors will be set up Friday and Saturday during the event.
