4th ANNUAL MOUNTAIN MAN RENDEZVOUS SET

The 4th Annual Mountain Man Rendezvous will be September 11-12 in Rand Park in Calico Rock. On Friday night, folks will gather around camp fires and enjoy Rifle Demonstrations, Tomahawk Throw, Fire melbourne2Starting Contest, and Archery Demonstrations. The Rendezvous activities will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday night, September 11. On Saturday, the events will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Along with the activities in Rand Park, the Native American Day activities will take place along Main Street and in Rand Park on Saturday. A Walk of Remembrance from the Calico Rock Museum on Main Street to Rand Park will commemorate the Trail of Tears and honor those who made the trek and those who lost their lives along the way. The Walk of Remembrance will step off at 12:00 noon.

Native American dancers will perform at 2:00 p.m. on the hill along Main Street. Native American drummers will perform throughout the day. Vendors will sale food and other items along Main Street and in Rand Park.
powhatan_003_lAll of these events are completely FREE. In addition to the festivities, the Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center will be open for tours of the Native American exhibit. The Printing Press Café & Ice Cream Parlor will have special music throughout the day.

The City of Calico Rock has declared Saturday, September 12 as City Wide Yard Sale, so there will be plenty of bargains throughout town.
