Muriel Anderson

Acclaimed fingerstyle guitarist Muriel Anderson returns to the Ozark Folk Center State Park for two performances July 18.  Show times are 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Craft Village and 7:00 – 9: p.m. in the Large Auditorium.

Combination tickets for both shows are available for $19.50 or tickets for individual performances are available for $12.00. Seating for both shows is general admission.

Muriel specializes in both traditional and contemporary fingerstyle guitar and was the first woman to win the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in Winfield, Kansas. She has performed and recorded with guitar legends Chet Adkins and Les Paul.

Music Director Daren Dortin says of Anderson, “One of the special aspects of Muriel’s performance is when she plays the harp-guitar, it’s a unique instrument that Muriel has mastered”.

The Ozark Folk Center State Park is located at 1032 Park Avenue in Mountain View. Follow the signs to the Ozark Folk Center State Park, less than a mile from the Courthouse Square in downtown Mountain View.  The park may also be reached by taking Hwy 5/9/14 (Sylamore Ave) to Jimmy Driftwood Parkway, which leads directly to the park entrance.
