The Arkansas Craft School is offering two classes with Mountain View artist, Linda Rawlings. July 8 – 10, Rawlings will teach a Screen Printing workshop. Silk screen printing is a relatively simple way to create multiple copies of favorite images on a variety of surfaces. Students will learn a variety of techniques that, coupled with imagination, can be used to create unique works of art. This class is open to all levels.

August 5 – 7, Rawlings will teach Book Arts and Printmaking. This hands-on workshop combines several related crafts culminating in the production of two handmade books. Day one begins with design ideas and block printing; Day 2 focuses on paper art and embellishment techniques. Day 3 culminates with the finished books created using the techniques of the previous days.

Rawlings is a New York native, having studied art at the Museum of Modern Art, and the Art Students League with art degrees from Marymount Manhattan College and St. John’s University. Her classes are popular and early registration is encouraged.
