Three Workshops with Adrian Deckbar Available in 2017

March 28-31 –

Students will learn the process of developing a language of color in this 4-day class.

Using acrylic paint as the vehicle, students will see that white dulls the colors and cools them, especially the warm colors.  Too much mixing will dull color and make ‘mud’. You will learn how and when bright colors and dull colors are created. Theory put into use will change the concepts, and the colors!

May 19-21
“My favorite thing is to draw from Nature. Come and draw with me and immerse yourself in Nature, with focused time directed toward learning how to create drawings that appear to have depth and dimension.”
This class will take place at beautiful Tomahawk Creek Farm on the ridge south of Mountain View. It features a beautiful pond, gardens and buildings from rustic to contemporary. A modern kitchen, covered patio and large greenhouse offer protection and views in case of inclement weather. While the focus will be on using graphite, you may choose to work in other media as well. Come share in the beauty of the Natural!
