The third in our series of Summer Day Camps will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center.  This day camp is entitled, “Life as a Hobo” and will trace the origins of hobos and how important they were to the history of life on the railroad throughout America.  Lunch will be provided to the students and includes a peanut butter sandwich and Mulligan soup.  The campers will be making crafts and playing games that go with the theme.

The camp is FREE but admission is limited, so please call us to reserve your spot at 870-297-6100.  The summer day camps are sponsored by Entergy Arkansas and the Printing Press Café & Ice Cream Parlor.

Business Information Sign Update

Last week, we announced that a project to turn the former White River Health Care & Rehab sign on Main Street into a sign that promotes our community and encourages visitors to shop our local businesses.  The project was intended to be completed in August or September.  The Chamber of Commerce has asked for the opportunity to complete this project and the museum has granted their request.  We look forward to the completion of this project by the Chamber of Commerce in the very near future.

Anyone interested in the sign project, may contact the Chamber at 870-297-4129.
