There will be live music, an auction, bounce house for the kids, hamburgers and more! Come out to Batesville Riverside Park and join us as we help this family who has had an awful tragedy. The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted throughout the day.

Nicholas Fowler was delivering strawberries for our church fundraiser on February 13th, when a car crossed the center line and hit Nick’s compact car head on. He has no memory of the crash or medflight to Little Rock. Injuries include fracture at base of skull & torn neck ligament, compound fractures of left wrist, fractured ribs, lacerations to liver, both knees had large open wounds, left femur snapped; rod holds it together, multiple fractures to left ankle. His right pelvis was broke in 3 pieces; this caused the sciatic nerve to “bruise” down his right leg. Until the nerves heal, his right foot has no feeling. He continues to heal daily and we praise our Father for sparing his life. God protected Nick from death or devastating permanent injuries. It’s profoundly humbling.
Jeff and Darlene Fowler, his parents, are in need of our assistance. They are wonderful people, and they have taken much time from work, and have now moved Nick back into their home. Nick is in need of 24 hour assistance. He is unable to care for himself, and will be unable to get back on his feet for several months still.  (Excerpt from Nicholas Fowler Facebook Page)

As ever, every city, town, and county in Arkansas pulls together to help their own as well as fellow Arkansans, and other states.  We just have big hearts and are neighborly.  Join in this day at the park for a worthy cause, bring your family, and remember, it’s always a reason for each season. See you there! Ginger
