ww2 title exhibit (2)

We recently, and proudly,  received the following letter of gratitude from the Old Independence Regional Museum:

Recently a grandmother visited our museum, accompanied by her young great-granddaughter. During their tour, they participated in a hands-on cotton ginning activity. As the great-grandma separated seed from a cotton boll she shared how as a child she had picked cotton. The little girl’s face lit up with excitement and admiration as she soaked up every word. History had come alive in those moments! It is stories like these that continually show us how important it is to keep Old Independence Regional Museum’s doors open.

Your continued financial support helps make stories like these possible and I want to say “Thank You!”

In 2014 your donation helped the museum:

·        Welcome over 5,500 visitors including 1,300 students

·        Host 22 free public programs

·        Log over 5,000 hours of volunteer service

·        Accept over 202 new collections for preservation

Your generous support allows us to educate future generation, interpret the impact of past generations, and preserve the memories of current generations.

Thank you again,

Amelia Bowman, Director
