The day after Thanksgiving is known for “Black Friday” shopping. If fighting the crowds does not sound fun, the staff at Powhatan Historic State Park invites the public to join them for “Green Friday,” November 28. Instead of spending money, visitors can spend time with family exploring the remains of this 19th century steamboat town. Guests can go on a guided tour, browse through the courthouse museum, or simply enjoy the park grounds.
