Side-Street Steppers Performances Recall Golden Age Music at the Ozark Folk Center State Park

SideStreetSteppersMountain View, Arkansas – Based out of Memphis, Tennessee, The Side-Street Steppers are quintet that specializes in what they call “rare and popular music of the 20’s and 30’s”. The group will perform two shows at the Ozark Folk Center State Park on Saturday, June 4. The matinee show begins at 2:00 p.m. in the Craft Village and the evening show starts at 7:00 p.m. in the Large Auditorium.

“The popularity and success of the Steppers is no surprise” says Music Director Daren Dortin. “Memphis’ musical heritage is second to none and the city is a wonderful breeding ground for musicians to find their unique style and sound.”

Founding member Christian Stanfield started the group as a way to find like mind souls who shared his passion for vintage instruments and music from the early 20th century. Since then the group has grown to include his wife, Vera on banjo ukulele, Ben Walsh on bass and Mandy Nicole Martin and Sarah Ann Rector on washboards and vocals.

A combo ticket for both performances and all day access to the Craft Village is $19.50. No reserved seating, all tickets are sold the day of the show.
