Powhatan Historic State Park will host a Valentine’s Day Trial by Jury on Saturday, February 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Join park staff and become the judge, part of the jury, a lawyer or maybe even the accused as we bring a Valentine’s Day-themed court case from Powhatan’s history to life! No acting experience is needed, but participants should come ready to dive in and interact with each other.
Space is limited, and registration is required. The registration fee is $10. To register for the event, please call the park at 870-878-6765.

Looking for a simple, fun way to unplug and spend time with your kids? Take them fishing at Jacksonport State Park! There’s nothing better than watching little hands cast a line, laughing between bites, and soaking up a peaceful day by the river.
Set along the White River, Jacksonport is a perfect family-friendly fishing spot — calm waters, beautiful views, and plenty of room to explore. When you’re done fishing, step inside the visitor center to dive into riverboat history and stories from Jacksonport’s steamboat days. History galore without feeling like homework 📚✨
