Big news is coming out of Fairfield Bay. This scenic Ozark community overlooking Greers Ferry Lake has officially been nominated for the national Strongest Town Contest, placing it among just 16 communities across North America selected for the honor.
The announcement was shared by 26-year-old Mayor Seth Connell, marking another milestone for the city after recently earning the Trendsetter City Award from Arkansas Business earlier this year in Little Rock.
The Strongest Town contest highlights communities that are creating positive change through smart growth, community pride, and forward-thinking leadership. For Fairfield Bay, that recognition reflects the dedication of local leaders and residents working together to strengthen the town’s future. To vote for Fairfield Bay click here.
Credit also goes to community member Bella Comas, who submitted the nomination that helped place Fairfield Bay on the national stage.
Now the community has a chance to rally together. Supporters are encouraged to vote and help showcase everything that makes Fairfield Bay special—from its natural beauty and outdoor recreation to the strong sense of community that defines life here.
Opportunities like this don’t come around often, and this nomination gives residents and visitors alike a chance to celebrate a place many are proud to call home. With national attention now shining on Fairfield Bay, the message is clear: this Ozark town is building something special—and the rest of the country is starting to notice.
