Get ready, music lovers and adventure seekers—the Arkansas Folk Festival is back in Mountain View this weekend, April 18–19! Celebrate the heart of Ozark heritage with two full days of live folk music, artisan markets, hands-on heritage demos, and family-friendly fun.

Float through downtown to the main stage and Pickin’ Park, where local and regional musicians will fill the air with bluegrass, folk, and traditional tunes. Explore vendor booths, hop on train rides, try your luck at chicken bingo, or visit the musical petting zoo!

Saturday kicks off with a Main Street parade at 10 a.m., followed by demonstrations like quilting, goat milking, and butter making. Don’t miss the 3 p.m. barbecue cookoff or the vintage tractor show showcasing classic rides.

Thrill-seekers can catch the Rand Rodeo Company events—Friday night in Dolph at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Mountain View. Gates are $5 in Dolph and $10 in Mountain View (kids six and under free). Expect professional rodeo action, laughs from rodeo clown Sean Scroggins, and plenty of excitement!

Whether you’re local or just passing through, the Arkansas Folk Festival is your chance to dive into Ozark music, tradition, and pure small-town charm. Don’t miss it!
