‘Words Become Matter’
Exhibit at Lyon College Showcases Women Artists
BATESVILLE, Arkansas — Lyon College’s Kresge Gallery will feature “Words Become Matter,” an exhibition presented as part of the Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts’ Women to Watch program.
The exhibition will be on display today through Oct. 3, bringing together work that explores the ways language, ideas and personal experiences can take physical form through art.
A reception for the exhibition will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, in the Kresge Gallery. The free event is open to the public.
The Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts supports the visibility and recognition of women artists through exhibitions and programs throughout the state.
The Kresge Gallery is located in the historic Alphin Building on the Lyon College campus, 2300 Highland Road, Batesville. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
